GCSE & A Level Success!

14 August 2015

2015 has been another great year for GCSEs and A Levels at KEHS! You can read all about it on the KEHS School Website:

"King Edward VI High School for Girls is  celebrating its best set of GCSE results for over a decade with 92% of all the exams gaining an A* or A result and 68% of them A*s.

15 girls achieved a full house of all A* grades and 37 girls got 9 or more A*s while 60 students got all A* /As.

“The girls have done brilliantly” said Principal Ann Clark, “and these results reflect their hard work and determination, together with the dedication of the staff at KEHS. In addition to our successes in the STEM (Science and Technology) subjects, which buck the national trend for girls, we're also delighted to see our talented linguists excelling. We are a Languages for All school – every one of our students takes at least one modern language; the full cohort takes French GCSE and 80% of them achieved an A* which is amazing. Our girls scored 100% A*s in German at GCSE and A level and 84% A*s at Spanish GCSE.

"It’s important to me that the girls don’t just achieve academic success but also pursue their own interests outside the classroom. Our girls excel in so many ways and I’m extremely proud of them.”"
