King Edward's School Home

Old Edwardians

Foundation Archive

The Foundation Archive is held in the basement of the Foundation Office on the Edgbaston Campus. It is home to a plethora of unique and invaluable information about the history of the schools of the King Edward's Foundation in Birmingham. The archive includes original minutes and order books from the school governors from the seventeenth century and some of the original architectural drawings of the New Street building by Sir Charles Barry.

A small selection of this material is available here. We are hoping to digitise more in the coming months and years.

The archive is run by the Foundation Archivist, Alison Wheatley, who works here each Wednesday. If you have any questions or would like to make a donation, you can contact her using this form.
